Libraries & Information East Midlands is a membership organisation which provides a strategic voice for library and information services across the region. LIEM has a long tradition of promoting partnership and co-operation:

  •   across the library and information domain in the East Midlands region
  •   with partners in museums and archives
  •   nationally, with other library development agencies and strategic bodies.

The Reading Room at West Bridgford libraryNew and refurbished libraries open in the East Midlands

The new £1.4m Chaddesden Library in Derby has now officially opened,
 replacing a 59 year old building.

 Loughborough library - the biggest in Leicestershire - re-opened at the end of  2012 following a seven week closure as part of a £1.3m revamp and West Bridgford Library in Nottinghamshire has re-opened after a major £5.3m re-development.
