About the Regional Council

The Council of Libraries and Information East Midlands is made up of representatives from each public library service, together with six representatives of academic and special libraries. Council members are elected at the Annual General Meeting in October, and serve for one year.

 

Council also welcomes observers from museums and archives, and a member of staff from The British Library has a standing invitation to attend the quarterly Council meetings.

 

In 2010 Council will meet on the following : Monday 25th January, Thursday 22nd April, Thursday 15th July, and Wednesday 13th October. Minutes of previous Council meetings can be found here.

Libraries and Information East Midlands (LIEM) is a membership organisation, providing a strategic voice for library and information services across the East Midlands.
