About the Regional Council
The Council of Libraries and Information East Midlands is made up of representatives from each public library service, together with six representatives of academic and special libraries. Council members are elected at the Annual General Meeting in October, and serve for one year.
Council also welcomes observers from museums and archives, and a member of staff from The British Library has a standing invitation to attend the quarterly Council meetings and Stephanie Kenna, Manager of the Regional and Library Programmes is the BL's representative.
In 2008 Council will meet on the following dates: Thursdays 17th January, 17th April, 3rd July, and 2nd October. Minutes of previous Council meetings can be found here.
