About the Regional Council
The Council of Libraries and Information East Midlands is made up of representatives from each member public library service, together with six representatives of academic and special libraries. Council members are elected at the Annual General Meeting in October, and serve for one year.
Council also welcomes observers from museums and archives, and a member of staff from The British Library has a standing invitation to attend the Council meetings.
In 2013 Council meets on the following dates: Thursday 14th February, Thursday 13th June and Thursday 17th October.
