Strategy: Strategy and Planning Group

The Libraries and Information East Midlands Strategy and Planning Group met for the first time in January 2005. The group's role is to develop the Forward Plan for the organisation to ensure that it presents in an easily accessible form, the vision, achievements and aspirations of the organisation.

The group is responsible for ensuring the delivery of the Forward Plan. It provides overarching support for the key initiatives of Libraries and Information East Midlands such as:

The Strategy and Planning Group is also responsible for the establishment of time limited task groups to undertake specific pieces of work to deliver the forward plan and the libraries and information services agenda within the region. Task group members will be identified by Regional Council.

The Strategy and Planning Group is composed of members of Regional Council, the Hon Officers and individuals involved in the planning and delivery of the key initiatives. The Group which will meet four times each year will report to the Regional Council of Libraries and Information East Midlands.
